When God Doesn't Meet Our Standards

The Importance of Scripture Knowledge (வேதவசனம் அறிந்திருப்பதின் முக்கியத்துவம்)

A soldier cannot fight without knowing his weapon. Similarly, Christians cannot live victoriously without knowing Scripture. When asked how many had read the Bible completely, very few raised their hands. This reveals a concerning reality in our churches today.

Without Scripture knowledge, we cannot taste and see that the Lord is good. We cannot claim God's promises if we don't know what they are. Reading God's Word is essential for spiritual growth and maturity.

Palm Sunday: Jesus' Triumphal Entry (குருத்தோலை ஞாயிறு: இயேசுவின் வெற்றிகரமான நுழைவு)

The Prophetic Fulfillment (தீர்க்கதரிசன நிறைவேற்றம்)

Today we celebrate Palm Sunday, commemorating Jesus' entry into Jerusalem before His crucifixion. This event was not spontaneous—it was prophesied 500 years earlier through Zechariah.

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey." — Zechariah 9:9 (NKJV)

Every detail was written centuries in advance—the donkey, the colt, the humility. Nothing was random; everything was part of God's perfect plan.

The Crowd's Response (கூட்டத்தின் பதில்)

As Jesus rode into Jerusalem, the crowds shouted "Hosanna!" meaning "save us" or "praise to the Lord." The disciples and all the people present began to cry out with tremendous voices, creating such a commotion that others inquired about who this was.

The people identified Him as "Jesus the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee," and the disciples must have felt immense joy and pride to be associated with someone receiving such public acclaim.

We measure strength by power and success by applause. God measures it by obedience, faithfulness, and humble service. When God works quietly in our lives, it's not weakness—it's His way. We must not mistake His gentleness for absence.

When life doesn't match our timeline or our expectations, it doesn't mean God has forgotten us. His plan is always bigger than our understanding. His ways are perfect even when they appear puzzling to us.

Jesus' humility was not accidental but intentional. He chose to enter Jerusalem in a way that confounded human expectations but fulfilled divine prophecy. True strength is often displayed through gentleness and servanthood.

God's power is perfected in our weakness. When we feel inadequate or when circumstances don't meet our standards, God's grace becomes most evident.

Even as Jesus approached Jerusalem, knowing the suffering that awaited Him, His heart was filled with compassion for the city and its people.

The same crowd that shouted "Hosanna" would later cry "Crucify Him!" Peter, who boldly declared his loyalty, would deny Jesus three times. Every disciple would flee when Jesus was arrested. Yet God's plan remained unchanged.

Jesus rode toward Jerusalem knowing everything that would happen—the betrayal, the denial, the crucifixion—and He came anyway. He comes to us today despite our failures and shortcomings. Let Him in.
