Luke 24:5-6Hebrews 7:25Hebrews 2:18Job 42:2Isaiah 25:6-9

Because Jesus lives, He is able to save completely, help in times of testing, and accomplish all things for His people.

The Living Christ (உயிரோடு இருக்கிற கிறிஸ்து)

On this glorious resurrection morning, we celebrate not just a historical event, but a present reality. The angels' proclamation to the women at the tomb echoes through the ages:

"Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen!" — Luke 24:5-6a (NKJV)

"உயிரோடு இருக்கிறவரை நீங்கள் மரித்தோரிடத்தில் தேடுகிறது என்ன? அவர் இங்கே இல்லை, அவர் உயிர்த்தெழுந்தார்!" — லூக்கா 24:5-6 (TAOVBSI)

The tomb in Israel remains open to this day—not because it was forgotten, but as a testimony that our Savior conquered death itself. Unlike any other grave in the world, Jesus' tomb stands empty because He who was dead is alive forevermore.

Christ came into this world, lived among us, suffered for our sake, died on the cross, met death head-on, and swallowed up death in victory. Then He rose again with life, and today He lives eternally. Because He lives, our lives have meaning and purpose.

Complete Salvation Through the Living Christ

He Saves Completely (அவர் முற்றிலும் இரட்சிக்கிறார்)

The foundation of our hope rests in this profound truth:

"Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them." — Hebrews 7:25 (NKJV)

"ஆகையால் அவர் மூலமாய்த் தேவனிடத்தில் வருகிறவர்களை முற்றும்முடிய இரட்சிக்க அவர் வல்லவராயிருக்கிறார்; அவர் அவர்களுக்காகப் பரிந்து பேசும்படி எப்போதும் உயிரோடிருக்கிறார்." — எபிரேயர் 7:25 (TAOVBSI)

Because Christ lives, He doesn't save us halfway and abandon us. Unlike human helpers who may fail us in crucial moments, our Lord sees every endeavor through to completion. When we entrust our lives—our families, careers, ministries, and futures—to Him, He takes full responsibility.

The Apostle Paul demonstrated this confidence when he declared that he knew whom he had believed and was convinced that Christ was able to guard what had been entrusted to Him until that Day (2 Timothy 1:12). This assurance enabled Paul to fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith, knowing that the crown of righteousness awaited him.

He Helps in Times of Testing

Our living Savior understands our struggles intimately:

"For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted." — Hebrews 2:18 (NKJV)

"ஆதலால் அவர் தாமே சோதிக்கப்பட்டுப் பாடுபட்டதினாலே சோதிக்கப்படுகிறவர்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்ய வல்லவராயிருக்கிறார்." — எபிரேயர் 2:18 (TAOVBSI)

Life inevitably brings tests and trials. Students face examinations to advance to the next level, and believers face various challenges that refine and strengthen our faith. When these seasons come, we need not despair or question why we, as God's children, must endure difficulties.

Christ Himself was tested and suffered, qualifying Him to help us in our trials. Scripture promises that with every temptation, God provides a way of escape so we can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). Our living Lord not only allows the test but also provides the grace and strength needed to overcome it.

The All-Powerful Living God

Job's declaration after experiencing severe testing reveals another dimension of our risen Lord:

"I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You." — Job 42:2 (NKJV)

"தேவரீர் சகலத்தையும் செய்யவல்லவரென்றும், தேவரீருடைய நினைவுகளில் ஒன்றும் தடைபடாதென்றும் அறிவேன்." — யோபு 42:2 (TAOVBSI)

Our living Christ possesses unlimited power. Nothing is too difficult for Him. Whether we face challenges in our studies, careers, ministries, or personal lives, we can approach Him with complete confidence. When we commit our ways to the Lord, He will bring our plans to pass, as David wrote in the Psalms.

God's omnipotence means He can accomplish what seems impossible to us. His resurrection power that conquered death continues to work in our lives today, transforming situations and opening paths where none seemed to exist.

The Victory Celebration (வெற்றி கொண்டாட்டம்)

Isaiah prophesied about the ultimate victory feast that Christ's resurrection makes possible:

"And in this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all people a feast of choice pieces, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of well-refined wines on the lees. And He will destroy on this mountain the surface of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; the rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken. And it will be said in that day: 'Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.'" — Isaiah 25:6-9 (NKJV)

This prophecy finds its fulfillment in Christ's victory over death. The "covering cast over all people" and "the veil spread over all nations" represents the shroud of death that hung over humanity. Through His resurrection, Jesus removed this covering permanently.

The celebration is not merely for a future day—it begins now. Every believer can participate in this victory feast, knowing that death has lost its sting and the grave has been robbed of its victory through our risen Lord.

Practical Application (நடைமுறை பயன்பாடு)

Living in Resurrection Power

Since Christ lives and we live because He lives, we must not seek the living among the dead. This means:

  1. Refusing to live in defeat when our God has already won the victory
  2. Rejecting despair when we serve the God of hope
  3. Avoiding spiritual stagnation when we have access to resurrection power
  4. Abandoning fear of death when we serve the One who conquered it

Trusting His Complete Work

Rather than worrying about partial solutions or temporary fixes, we can trust our living Savior to:

  • Complete what He has begun in our lives (Philippians 1:6)
  • Work all things together for our good (Romans 8:28)
  • Supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19)
  • Keep us by His power until the day of His appearing (1 Peter 1:5)

Walking in Victory Daily

The resurrection is not just an annual celebration but a daily reality. Each morning we can declare with confidence: "Jesus lives, therefore I live. Jesus has victory, therefore I have victory. Jesus overcomes, therefore I overcome."

Conclusion (முடிவுரை)

On this Easter Sunday, we do not merely remember a past event—we celebrate a present reality. Our Savior lives! He is not confined to history books or religious traditions. He is alive and active in our world and in our lives today.

Because He lives:

  • We can face tomorrow without fear
  • We can trust Him with our deepest concerns
  • We can rest in His complete salvation
  • We can draw strength for every trial
  • We can live with eternal perspective

The empty tomb declares that death could not hold Him, sin could not defeat Him, and the grave could not claim Him. He rose victoriously, and He lives forever.

Let us not seek the living among the dead. Our Christ has risen! He is alive forevermore! (He is risen!)
