Living Righteously and Maintaining a Constant State of Readiness

Introduction (அறிமுகம்)

The Bible repeatedly warns us that Jesus will return suddenly and unexpectedly -- like in the days of Noah. People then were living life as usual -- eating, drinking, marrying -- but completely unaware of what was about to happen.

"Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." — Matthew 24:44 (NKJV)

Being ready does not mean living in fear or panic -- it means living righteously and with spiritual alertness, so that whenever Jesus returns, we are found faithful. But this readiness is not easy. We face complacency, distraction, and spiritual laziness every day.

Wake Up -- Overcome Spiritual Complacency (விழித்தெழுங்கள் -- ஆவிக்குரிய அலட்சியத்தை வெல்லுங்கள்)

"Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die." — Revelation 3:2 (NKJV)

One of the biggest dangers to readiness is spiritual sleep. We go to church, we pray occasionally, but our hearts can grow numb and indifferent.

• Like the five foolish virgins (Matthew 25), we may have lamps, but no oil.
• Like the Laodiceans, we may think, "I am rich and need nothing," but be poor and blind before God (Revelation 3:17).

Paul reminds us:

"It is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed." — Romans 13:11 (NKJV)

Renew your passion for prayer, Bible reading, and holiness. Ask daily, "Lord, is my heart awake and aligned with You?"

Stay Focused -- Avoid Distractions and Worldly Pressure (கவனமாயிருங்கள் -- கவனச்சிதறல்களையும் உலக அழுத்தத்தையும் தவிருங்கள்)

"Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us... looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith." — Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV)

In the world today, distractions are everywhere -- social media, busyness, entertainment, and constant noise. Even good things can become distractions if they take us away from our focus on Jesus.

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness." — Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

"முதலாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தையும் அவருடைய நீதியையும் தேடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது இவைகளெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குக்கூடக் கொடுக்கப்படும்." — மத்தேயு 6:33 (TAOVBSI)

Cultural pressure tempts us to blend in -- to conform, to compromise. But Paul says:

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." — Romans 12:2 (NKJV)

Simplify your life. Prioritize your time with God. When you lose focus -- pause, pray, and realign with His purpose.

Stand Firm -- Stay Faithful in a World of Fear and Doubt (உறுதியாய் நில்லுங்கள் -- பயமும் சந்தேகமும் நிறைந்த உலகில் உண்மையாயிருங்கள்)

"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy." — Colossians 2:8 (NKJV)

"லௌகிக ஞானத்தினாலும், மாயமான தந்திரத்தினாலும், ஒருவனும் உங்களைக் கொள்ளைகொண்டு போகாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்." — கொலோசெயர் 2:8 (TAOVBSI)

As we wait for the Lord, it is easy to be shaken -- by fear, uncertainty, and discouragement. Some lose faith because of delay. Others let bitterness or doubt creep in. But Jude tells us:

"Build yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit." — Jude 1:20 (NKJV)

And Isaiah promises:

"Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles." — Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

Keep praying, keep forgiving, keep trusting. God values endurance more than speed -- faithfulness more than success.

The days of Noah are here again -- people live carelessly, unaware of eternity. But we are called to live differently -- righteously, watchfully, and expectantly.

• Wake up from spiritual sleep.
• Stay focused on Jesus amidst distractions.
• Stand firm in faith until He comes.
