We don't know exactly what brought you to this page, but we're glad you're here. The fact that you're reading this means some part of you is looking for a reason to hold on. That part of you is right.

Your pain is real

We're not going to minimise what you're feeling. Suicidal thoughts don't come from nowhere — they come from real pain that has become unbearable. Maybe it's grief, shame, financial ruin, loneliness, abuse, illness, or something you can't even name. Whatever it is, your pain is valid.

But here's what we need you to hear: your pain is lying to you about your future. It's telling you that nothing will change, that no one cares, that the world would be better off. That is not true.

You are not a burden

The people who love you — even if you can't feel their love right now — would rather have you here, struggling, than lose you forever. Your absence would not relieve anyone. It would devastate them.

What to do right now

  • Tell someone. One person. A friend, a family member, a helpline counsellor. Say the words out loud. The darkness loses power when it's brought into the light.
  • Remove access to anything you could use to harm yourself. Give pills, sharp objects, or keys to someone else.
  • Don't be alone tonight. Go to someone's house. Call someone to come over.
  • Breathe. You don't have to solve everything right now. You just have to get through this moment.

There is hope — even if you can't see it yet

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." — Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)

"For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." — Psalm 139:13-14 (NKJV)

You were not an accident. You were not a mistake. The God who formed you knows every dark thought you're having right now, and He is not turning away. He is leaning in.

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." — Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
