When Dreams Align with God's Purpose

Introduction (அறிமுகம்)

Everyone has dreams. But not every dream is from God, and not every God-given dream is meant to be fulfilled in the way we imagine.

Scripture gives us three powerful examples of dreams that aligned with God's purpose:

  • Hannah prayed for a son and received Samuel -- then gave him back to the Lord:

"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. Therefore I also have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the Lord." — 1 Samuel 1:27-28 (NKJV)

"பிள்ளைக்காக விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணினேன்; நான் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் கேட்ட என் விண்ணப்பத்தின்படி எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார். ஆகையால் அவன் கர்த்தருக்கென்று கேட்கப்பட்டபடியினால், அவன் உயிரோடிருக்கும் சகல நாளும் அவனைக் கர்த்தருக்கே ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கிறேன்." — 1 சாமுவேல் 1:27-28 (TAOVBSI)

  • David dreamed of building God's temple. God said, "You did well to have it in your heart" -- but gave the assignment to Solomon:

"The Lord said to my father David, 'Whereas it was in your heart to build a temple for My name, you did well that it was in your heart.'" — 1 Kings 8:18 (NKJV)

  • Jesus completed His Father's work perfectly:

"I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do." — John 17:4 (NKJV)

Principles for God-Aligned Dreams (கடவுளுக்கு ஏற்ற கனவுகளுக்கான கொள்கைகள்)

1. Not Every Dream Is About Us (எல்லா கனவுகளும் நம்மைப் பற்றியது அல்ல)

Hannah received Samuel, but he was God's gift to Israel. Our dreams are often bigger than ourselves -- they serve God's larger plan.

2. Sometimes God Affirms the Dream but Changes the Plan (சில நேரங்களில் கடவுள் கனவை உறுதிப்படுத்துவார் ஆனால் திட்டத்தை மாற்றுவார்)

David wanted to build the temple. God honoured the desire but redirected the execution. Sometimes God says, "Yes, but not the way you think."

3. The Highest Dream Is to Finish God's Work (மிக உயரிய கனவு கடவுளின் வேலையை முடிப்பதே)

Jesus did not pursue personal ambition. He finished the work the Father gave Him. Our greatest dream should be to complete God's assignment for our lives.

How to Align Your Dreams with God (உங்கள் கனவுகளை கடவுளுடன் இணைப்பது எப்படி)

  1. Surrender your dreams to God. Give Him permission to reshape them.
  2. Check your motives. Is this for God's glory or your own?
  3. Be open to God's timing. He may affirm the dream but delay the fulfillment.
  4. Trust the process. Joseph dreamed at 17 and saw fulfillment at 30. Thirteen years of preparation were not wasted.

  • What dream has God placed in your heart?
  • Have you surrendered it to Him, or are you holding it tightly?
  • Let God's purpose shape your dream, not the other way around.
